The latest author-written screenplay was finished and submitted to Warner Brothers by Orson Scott Card in May 2003. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were later signed to write a new script, working closely with Wolfgang Petersen. However, as of December 15, 2005, all previous attempts to write a script had been dropped. Card himself has announced he will be writing a new script not based on any previous one, including his own.

As of December 28, 2006, a movie of Ender's Game has been categorized as "in production". It is being produced by Fresco Pictures in conjunction with Warner Brothers; the movie will be directed by Wolfgang Petersen, and is set to be released no earlier than 2008. No casting will be done until the script is finished. The final film's story line will be a fusion between Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, focusing on the important elements of both.

Good news, everyone!

Futurama is back, and now we know in what form. The show will return on November 27th as a full-length high-def film sold on DVD. It will be followed by three additional films, and each film will be divided into four episodes each to be aired on Comedy Central. So, that's 4 DVD movies or 16 new episodes depending on how you look at it. [...]

The comic satirized the Fox network's decision to cancel Futurama and the ultimate triumph of the nerds in the room whose mighty power brought it back. [...]

The remainder of the panel featured the voice cast being generally endearing. John DiMaggio, the voice of Bender, [...] Billy West, the voice of Fry and half a dozen other characters [...]

The first DVD — Bender's Big Score — centers around some nudist aliens and the secret to time travel which is somehow attached to Fry's buttock. Expect lots of animated asses actually. Welcome back, Futurama.
