People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Training for speaking. I have 15 seconds think and 45 seconds speak.

Outline.
- best job
- communications
- following the dream.

Most people attend college or university to gain knowledge and experience necessary to get the best work after graduation. In some areas, such as in medicine, it is impossible to get a job without a degree.
Acquisition of new experience is also great reason for people to go to college (er, that's bad thought, I feel there are a lot of mistakes there). In colleges and universities you can find many interesting people from different countries and make good friends.
Personally, I'm going to go to university for the sake of a dream come true. I always wanted to become an archaeologist and learn the history of England of the Middle Ages. And I think that if I get a degree then I will have more chances to get to the excavation and do what I'm really interested in.

38 seconds.

PS. If you see any mistakes here, you must can always tell me.

And what do you think about parents who tell their children something like "You MUST go to the university to complete your education and get a degree"?

Tiny annoying thing
I agree with them. Especially in our country.

So, the first topic, m? It was very interesting to read.
And I have a question (actually, I have lots of them already) But it's not connected with the reasons to go college, but though: Why do some people go to university in other countries? What reason do they have? What do you think?

Acquisition of new experiences - I don't think you can use plural form of "experience" in this case.
make a good friends - maybe without an article?
I'm really interested - I would say "I'm interested in"

SIRI And I have a question (actually, I have lots of them already) But it's not connected with the reasons to go college, but though: Why do some people go to university in other countries? What reason do they have? What do you think? I have a writing topic with the same question I'll answer for you later, ok?

Thank you!

I have a writing topic with the same question I'll answer for you later, ok? - sure)) I'm looking forward to my reading it!

are you sure? - well, as far as I know, there is an experssion "to make friends" without an article. So we add only an adjective and the expression itself remains.

Tiny annoying thing
SIRI I hate topics about college! I know nothing about college life!
Ok, since you are better than me in english grammar I believe you)))
Thank you very much!

few grammar tips: make good friends, with no article. For sure And I'd rather suggest you make phrases more simple. For example - you could easily say "I'm going to university" instead of that "going to go to" thing. Meaning won't be lost. And there's no special need in using all the "that"-s and "then"-s in casual conversation - "And I think that if I get a degree then I will have more chances to get to the excavation and do what I'm really interestinged in." (That last "interested" obviously wasn't intended).

And on the subject itself... OMG, they want you to speak out of nothing after only 15 seconds of thinking? That's some challenge, not sure any Englishman would be able to do that one. Huh, I'm not even sure I could answer to questions like that in Russian or Armenian in one minute!

But what's great about your opinion is that you did spice it up with some personal information - dream of getting a degree in archaeology and all

Jude honey, just one remark. There is NO casual conversation. Only formal language. And it's difficult for me always use prepositions, articles or pronouns.
Simple phrases are great help in speaking (but not so simple anyway - fucking professors!), but in writing I must show good language that means no simple words such as good-say-like etc and simple phrases. That's so difficult!

And I must put in personal information and a lot of details. Talking about common things like Captain Obvilios is fail.

Thank you for your help!

Subject itself is hell! I'm pretty sure I can't do it in Russian, so I need all that practice on topics.

By the way the most difficult question is 'What is the tradition way to celebrate birthday in your country?'
You must not talk about cakes, parties, vodka and so on.
Can you answer? Just try to do it in russian or armenian

Grimble I feel the same ))))
