How Jay lost it's colors to the moon, or otherwise, how Jay became Jackdaw.

Every now and then, when you look up into the sky, the moon glows with so many different colors, that all we can really see is this pure white light. One day, Jay found a crystal, and while looking up at the sky through the crystal, the moonlight split into so many different colors that Jay fell silent... afterall it wasn't often that he found someone with almost as many colors as he has. He decided to get a closer look at this rare lady and flew off.. but the closer he got, the more blinded he got by the intense light. He however set his mind upon stealing a little bit of that light, just a little bit, so that he could be even more colorful then he already was. When he was finally there, and when his beak could almost touch the moon, the moon punished him for even thinking about stealing her light. Her light was meant for all, not just one, and she punished Jay by taking all his colors away.... all but his bright white/blue eyes.
